Privacy Policy
Last updated September 30, 2026
This policy covers every game made by Cow Tippers: Rungs, Shardshine and No Hands Yet. It explains what each game keeps on your device, what it sends to us, and which outside companies are involved.
No Hands Yet (on Steam) doesn't send us anything at all. It has no leaderboards, ads or online features, and your saves stay on your PC. Steam's own handling of your account is covered by Valve's privacy policy. The rest of this page is about our mobile games.
The short version
- You never need an account, an email address or your real name to play.
- Your progress lives on your device.
- Leaderboards use a random ID and a display name you choose, which can be anything.
- The mobile apps show ads only when you choose to watch one, and those ads come from Google AdMob.
- We don't sell your information to anyone.
Stored on your device
Each game saves your progress, streaks, stats, settings and hint use in the app's storage on your device, so you can pick up where you left off. This stays on your device. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.
Sent to our servers
Our leaderboards need a little information. Every game uses:
- A random player ID, generated on your device the first time you play. It isn't linked to your name, email, phone number or any account.
- A display name, only if you choose to set one. Names are checked against a filter for offensive words before they're shown. Players without a name appear as "Anonymous".
And, depending on the game:
Rungs
When you solve the daily puzzle: your word chain, how long it took, the number of steps, and the number of hints you used.
Shardshine
When you set a new best score on a Glazier window: which window it was, the sequence of colours you played, the number of hints you used, and the resulting points.
We use this only to check that solutions are real and to show the leaderboards. Other players see display names and scores, never player IDs.
Advertising
Our games offer optional rewarded ads, for example to get a hint or extra moves. An ad plays only when you tap to watch one. Nothing is ever forced on you. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and basic device and app details. Google handles this data under its own policies; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
Notifications
Rungs can remind you about the daily puzzle if you switch reminders on. They're scheduled on your phone itself; we don't run a push service, and no data is sent anywhere to make them work.
Other companies involved
- Cloudflare hosts our games and websites and stores leaderboard data on our behalf.
- Google provides ads in the mobile apps (see above) and distributes the apps through Google Play.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces our games use, which means your device requests them from Google.
We don't use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries are kept as a record of past results. If you'd like your entries and display name removed, email us with the name you used and the game, and we'll delete them.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience and aren't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If what our games collect changes, for example when a new game is released, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
